  • SV55CFO | ChasingBlues

SV55CFO Water Ladder DESCRIPTION SV55 CFO is a former Grampian Fire and Rescue Service water ladder, built by Emergency One on a Scania P340 chassis. Designed for versatility, the appliance is equipped to handle a wide range of incidents, including fires, road traffic collisions, and rescues. Notably, the appliance is the highest-horsepower pump in the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. The decision to use the P340 chassis was tied to Grampian Fire and Rescue's close relationship with Scania. Scania needed one of the pumps for a European tour, and when the usual chassis options weren’t ready in time, a P340 crew cab chassis with the number plate SV05 EJK was used. After its return to Scotland, the appliance was re-registered as SV55 CFO. Allegedly, the "CFO" in the plate was chosen to reference "Chief Fire Officer." The vehicle is believed to have been stationed at Kintore Fire Station, likely due to the fleet manager—who had a retained role there—taking a particular interest in the appliance. The vehicle is still stationed at Kintore Fire Station and is operated on a retained-duty basis. History (772) 2006: Appliance is newly allocated to North Anderson Drive fire station.
