SV53CNX is one of the reserve appliances to cover for the three '10-man pumps' currently in operation in Scotland. This particular type of pump was manufactured by EmergencyOne for the Grampian Fire Brigade to accommodate a larger crew of 10, as opposed to the standard six. To support the bigger crew, the pump has an additional Officer In Charge (OIC) and extra firefighting gear. Thanks to its enhanced personnel and equipment, it can respond alone to some incidents that would typically require two crews.
