One of 4 Major Incident Units, this appliance was provided by the Scottish Government to the Grampian Fire and Rescue Service as part of a nationwide scheme to provide national resilience in large-scale disasters such as: flooding, building collapses (Urban Search and Rescue), decontamination, heavy rescue, etc.

Manufactured by Saxon on a Scania 94D-300 chassis the appliance features the legacy white GFRS livery. The appliance is fitted with a Moffat forklift on the rear to deploy palletised equipment from the vehicle. The appliance is jump crewed by the first out pump.
