SV02EMK is one of only three '10-man pumps' currently in operation in Scotland. This particular type of pump was manufactured by EmergencyOne for the Grampian Fire Brigade to accommodate a larger crew of 10, as opposed to the standard six. The pump has an additional Officer In Charge (OIC) and extra firefighting gear to support the larger crew. Thanks to its enhanced personnel and equipment, it can respond alone to some incidents that would typically require two crews. Ballater and Turriff are the only other stations that have such a specialized appliance. The pump is crewed on a retained duty system and is the only operational pump stationed in Buckie.
