SV09BPF

Prime Mover

DESCRIPTION

SV09 BPF is a former Grampian Fire and Rescue Service prime mover, built by EmergencyOne on a Scania P340 chassis. The vehicle utilises a hooklift system to equip one of the two specialized modules stationed at Central Fire Station: Mass Decontamination 1 (Q03M1) and Mass Decontamination 2 (Q03M2). These modules are designed to support mass decontamination operations, providing vital resources in the event of large-scale chemical, biological, or radiological incidents.

The vehicle and it's modules were provided by the Scottish Government under National Fire Resilience. The vehicle is stationed at Central Fire Station, where it operates on a wholetime duty basis. When mobilised,  four other pumps with decontamination-trained crews must be mobilised alongside it.
