Line Rescue Unit

DESCRIPTION

SN59 CCO is a former Dumfries and Galloway Fire and Rescue Service general purpose van, now repurposed as a Line Rescue Unit. Built on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis, the vehicle is equipped with Level 3 rope rescue equipment, enabling it to handle complex rope rescues in a variety of challenging environments.


The vehicle is stationed at Altens Fire Station and operates on a wholetime duty basis.

History

(N/A) 2011: Vehicle is newly allocated to Dumfries and Galloway Fire and Rescue Service as a general purpose vehicle.


(N/A) 2016: Following the 2013 amalgamation of all eight Scottish fire and rescue services the appliance is updated to a Scottish Fire and Rescue Logo.


(Q03L1) 2020: Vehicle is re-allocated and re-liveried to Altens fire station as a Line Rescue Unit.
