P93ERS

Water Carrier

DESCRIPTION

P93 ERS is a former Grampian Fire and Rescue Service Water carrier, built by Whale Tankers on a Scania 94D-220 chassis. With a substantial capacity of 7500 litres, it provides a vital water supply for firefighting operations in areas with limited hydrant access. Lacking built-in pumping capabilities, it carries an inflatable dam with a capacity of 9500 litres. Water is emptied into the dam and pumped out by other appliances on the scene. It is one of only five water carriers currently operated by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

The vehicle is based at Turriff Fire Station and operates on a retained duty system.
