DESCRIPTION

MX58 FHT is a former Grampian Fire and Rescue Service Detection, Identification, Monitoring (DIM) unit based on an Iveco Daily body. The vehicle acts as a mobile labratory to assist in urban search and rescue (USAR) and hazardous materials (HAZMAT) incidents to identify and track hazardous substances. The vehicle was provided by the Scottish Government under National Fire Resillience.


The vehicle is stationed at North Anderson Drive Fire Station and is operated on a wholetime basis. The station's second-out pump will mobilise alongside it as well as a DIM or HAZMAT officer.

History

(774?) 2010: Appliance is newly allocated to North Anderson Drive fire station.


(Q01H1) 2016: Following the 2013 amalgamation of all eight Scottish fire and rescue services the appliance callsign is updated to a national standard.
